Accessing Rest eBook

We usually think of rest as taking a nap, unplugging temporarily from external stimulations, or having a day to laze around the house and do nothing. However, proper rest is a gift reclaimed for us through Jesus and available to access even while we work. Rest means we can walk in relaxation, mental ease, emotional stability, and a calm assurance every day of the week.

"I will give you Rest."

In Matthew 11, Jesus encouraged those who felt weary, heavily burdened, and overwhelmed by many things to seek Him and to rest in His care. This kind of 'rest' in Hebrew implies to lay your full weight down.
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

In this eBook, you will renew your mind on what it means to rest and learn the importance of being intentional to abide in it. You will be encouraged to look at the demands that Jesus Christ had on His life while He carried out His ministry and meditate on why rest was such a key component. Additionally, we will look at some key figures in the Bible who were busy-bodies, much like some of us.

In the final pages of the eBook, there are practical journal prompts to help you assess your schedule, your life and take inventory of those things that compete for your attention and time. Lastly, you will find declarations that you can print to your mirror, front entrance doorway, or place on the inside of your notebook so you can confess them over your life.
